Born in the summer of 2008, Social Seed came together determined to accomplish one goal - to create some kick-ass music and rock hard. When bassist Mike Bitto met with guitarist Gene DiScipio, the two quickly hit it off and began to work on establishing a core instrumental sound layered with textured, catchy guitars and melodic yet dark and aggressive bass riffs. Perhaps sensing destiny, singer Paul Wildman answered an ad looking for a drummer, and soon found himself becoming a key part of the band's signature sound with his deep, rooted lyrics and a vocal style that is both aggressive and melodic. The band's newest and youngest member, drummer Joe Zaffarano brings a high energy, driving backbone to complete this powerful force of sound. With musical influences ranging from Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots to Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, Social Seed brings their own blend of rock that is heavy and angst-driven yet at the same time melodic with just enough hooks to keep listeners wanting more.
